I think you are right that a smaller lamp (ie shorter)would look better as it wouldn't hide part of the quilt and would balance the flowers better as well.Rowanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13679130612798888266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8640155338815792772.post-75530587397980294502012-08-12T20:06:01.665-07:002012-08-12T20:06:01.665-07:00You are so smart to mount the wall quilt over the ...You are so smart to mount the wall quilt over the thermostat! You'd have to try what you have and see. Too small a lamp might not work either, so I say just change the shade or find a similar size lamp with a smaller shade or a shade shaper differently, curved smaller at the top. Just my two cents worth. What you've done looks really nice though. I love the way you add little details to your tables tops.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04994473436725815322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8640155338815792772.post-27125172144294162072012-08-06T13:24:25.925-07:002012-08-06T13:24:25.925-07:00I think it looks much more elegant now. In the winter, it might be a problem for Jos. He always heads straight for it when he comes home from work to see that the heat is turned down. LOL. Well, I had thought that one couldn't really cover it, too closely. :-)

As to your lamp question... I just love, love, love little ambiance lights. So I'd vote for a smaller lamp.
