I found an old fishing fork (center) in our garage that was used by Jos' dad many, many years ago. I thought it was a shame that Jos wanted to keep it but never sees it sitting in the garage. Then we went to a thrift shop and found another garden fork and a hoe. Both were all rusted and have beautiful old wooden handles. Jos bargained for them at only 1,50 euro for both and brought them home to hang on our fence.
It is fun to add things that give an old fashioned look to the garden.

Yay for the garden treasures! Love the look!!
ReplyDeleteI love that fence, I didn't see it before. I didn't come last year at all. First year I missed since you have been there.
ReplyDeleteThe tools look great hanging there. I will be waiting to see what you do with the last gate you just bought.
Looks like right out of Better Homes and Gardens
Love you, Mom
You and Jos made this garden such a beautiful place! I enjoyed chatting, drinking tea and stitching with you in your garden yesterday!
ReplyDeleteGroetjes Sonja.

ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely idea Heidi and the fence is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
Ooh, I really like the look of old tools hanging on the fence! It was so nice to see a new post from you, too. It's been too long! :-)
ReplyDeleteDikke hug, Bep.
I like garden junk too. I think it adds a touch of whimsy and interest to the garden. You found a great way to display the fishing fork.
