April snow-showers.....

At first, we opened the curtains on Easter Sunday and wondered if it was Christmas...

Enjoying breakfast while watching the snowflakes fall...

A light lunch taking a break...

...from painting the cottage. Jos was pretending to be a graffiti artist. We had a nice long weekend at the cottage and needed to get the room done. Next chance we get for a long weekend again will be used to paint the ceilings.

But Dagi spent his long Easter weekend doing what he does best...catnapping...

Easter dinner was light. We had carpaccio kababs with steamed broccoli and a green salad...

Back home and I was baking cookies as a surprise for Jos as it was our 26th wedding anniversary...

I tried a new recipe for these chocolate chip and walnut cookies. They are really good and I learned a few tricks to getting a more tasty cookie...

And back home.....Dagi is still catnapping but he says thanks for the sweet comments on the last post. Since he has grown old, he has started sleeping in very unusual ways. Sometimes his paws are hanging over the couch of him and sometimes he sleeps with them laying out in front of him.

  1. You always set a beautiful table! The food looks delicious, I love the paint color (and the snow) and Dagi is such a handsome kitty!

  2. Everything looks so beautiful, Heidi. A perfect day.

  3. Aawwww.....sweet Dagi!! From what I see of your cottage, it looks like a wonderful place to spend time. And the food ~ yummy!!

  5. Dear Dagi! He knows how to make the best of wherever he is!

  6. It does look like Christmas, Jos forgot to grow up, Dagi is looking very comphy and that breakfast looks yummy. You can get such good bread over there.
I was talking to you when you were baking the cookies and know they were a hit.
    Love you, Mom

  7. Happy anniversary to you and Jos! Ugh on the snow in April. We're finally warming up a bit here.

  8. Sending some Happy Anniversary wishes to you and Jos! We have snow in the forecast for this next week. Springtime is slow in coming this year, so we appreciate each nice day when we get them.

  9. Congratulations to you and Jos on your wedding anniversary. Glad you enjoyed your Easter too. When will this snow be gone? Thank you once again for the lovely RAK Heidi - I have emailed you already which I hope you received. Have a good week.
    Patricia x
